On 29th January 2024, Uganda’ daily Monitor newspaper reported that over the last 8 years, about 122,000 pupils have failed to turn up for their final Primary Leaving Examinations. This sad turn of events is occasioned by various factors, including but not limited to, poor health, poverty and failure to meet school dues, pregnancy, early marriage, etc. We can all do something to support a child who dreams of being in school, but has been spewed out by the cruel elements of the world.
