Identified challenges include, but are not limited to Poverty leading to failure to meet basic needs like education, feeding, housing, healthcare; lack of vocational skills particularly for those who have dropped out of the formal education system; the thinning social support system for the elderly coupled with loss of their property (e.g land) to scrupulous individuals who take advantage of their ignorance and limited access to legal support and above all, the need to be loved.
