Martin Roy Lukwago
Board Chairman

Martin is a mathematical finance professional, with over 18 years’ experience in the field of development financing, corporate & investment finance plus an earlier 7 years in operational & engineering management.

He has developed expertise in origination of transactions and relationship management, business development, portfolio & risk management, for Public Sector / Development / Project finance, Trade & Working capital, Transactional services as well as Global Markets trading (assets classes: currencies, fixed income, credit, equities and commodities – soft and carbon).

Ruth Kato
Founder / CEO

Ruth is a Project Management Professional with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Makerere University and a Master of Science in Management.

Ruth has always been intent about working to make the world a better place. She serves humanity as a member of the Rotary Club of Entebbe where she is a Past President and Paul Harris Fellow. Ruth has over 19 years experience as a project manager charged with Liason between government and development partners, particularly the European Union.

Rebecca Kizito
Board Member / Secretary

Rebecca is a Ugandan by nationality, holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Works and Social Administration from Makerere University in Uganda.

Rebecca has a wealth of experience with and for the less privileged in the areas of Human rights, Education, Vocational skills training, Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA), Gender mainstreaming and inclusion, among others.

Rebecca is a mother of 3 and is passionate about helping those less-priviledged than her. 

Christine Waligo
Board Member

Tina is a Ugandan lady who migrated to the United Kingdom at the age of 19 and has lived there ever since.  She holds a Bachelors degree in Housing Studies from London Southbank University (UK) and is a mother of two.

Tina chose housing and social care as her career path and through this, she supports vulnerable adults and children solve their housing issues by ensuring that these groups find suitable accommodation through the established systems.  This way, Tina contributes to fighting homelessness in the UK community..

Mabel Ndawula
Board Member

Mabel holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Herriot-Watt University; a Bachelors Degree in Statistics (B.Stat) from Makerere University; is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a member of the Project Management Institute. She also has a Certificate from the Gordon Institute of Business Science for attending a Business Leadership Course.

She is a business leader with keen interest in strategy and leadership. She has over 21 years of experience (including 8 years as a consulting Director with Deloitte Africa), working with national governments, international aid development partners, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), Civil Society and private sector organisations.

Mabel brings with her strong interpersonal and leadership skills, built through leading multi-functional international teams in the delivery of complex strategic and transformational projects and programs for a wide range of clients in different sectors.

She aspires to be a leader who inspires new thinking and brings the best out of people!

Irene V. Nagitta
Board Member

Irene holds a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity Law (LLM) from George Washington University Law School, a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Makerere University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Certificate in risk management by the East African Institute of Bankers, Nairobi.

She is a Christian Ugandan lawyer with 20+ years of experience in diverse areas of law, focusing on Commercial and Corporate Law and advisory Services.  Irene has worked in international organization including the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva; Public Organisations like Uganda Investment Authority; Private Sector firms like DFCU Bank Ltd and has also operated a law firm. 

Irene is passionate about development, especially empowering women to build strong communities and create sustainable development in African countries. Through the Uganda Law Society Legal Aid projects, Irene has been involved in Pro-bono services targeting development through legal sensitization.
